Cruising the bays of Lake Kariba, Corsaro is an elegant 18-metre houseboat for up to six guests. Three air-conditioned cabins, a top-deck jacuzzi and a crew of three make it a private base for fishing, game viewing and long, unhurried days on the water.

Elephants come down to drink along the shoreline, tigerfish run in the bays, and the sun goes down over the drowned forest. This is Zimbabwe's great lake, seen in complete comfort.

A skipper, a chef and a deckhand. They know the bays, the fishing spots and where the animals come down to drink. Let them do the running around while you relax and enjoy your stay.

Buy your food and drinks, bring them to the boat, and Chef Michael cooks it all.

Experience Lake Kariba

Five thousand square kilometres of wild water reach into the shores of Matusadona National Park and the surrounding safari areas, and there are endless ways to experience it all.

  • Fishing

    Tigerfish and bream from the tenders, with rods, reels and line on board. Bring your own tackle.

  • Birdwatching

    Fish eagles call overhead, and the bays and drowned forest are full of birdlife.

  • Game viewing

    Elephants, hippos and buffalo come down to the shore. Watch from the deck, or get closer by tender.

  • Sunset cruises

    Head out as the light goes, drink in hand, with the sun setting behind the drowned trees.

  • Photography

    Golden light, still water and wildlife at close range, from first light to dusk.

How flexible are your dates?

Questions guests ask

How many people can come?

Up to six guests across three cabins: two en-suite cabins with queen beds, and a bunk cabin with two singles. The crew of three sleeps separately.

How much does a charter cost?

It depends on the season, the number of nights and any specials running at the time. Send an enquiry and we'll quote you directly.

How does catering work?

Either bring your own food and drinks, or we arrange it through our catering partner and you pay them directly. Either way, Chef Michael does the cooking.

What about mosquitoes?

Every deck is enclosed by fine wraparound netting, and every porthole has fitted mesh. Most guests are surprised how few insects they see.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes. It covers most of the bays we anchor in.

Is fishing gear provided?

Rods, reels and line are included. Bring your own tackle, and remember you'll need a fishing permit.

How do we get to Kariba?

Kariba town is about five hours' drive from Harare. We'll confirm the boarding point and timing with your quote.
